BAND HISTORY: 1 April 1994
Benji had never played the guitar until he was about 17 years old and his brother Joel never had song before in his life.
The two twins decided to form one band; dedicated to the events that had happened in the period of their lives, especially when it delt with personal family ordeals they had faced at 16.
After forming the band, they went on a Beastie Boys tour called 'ill comunication tour' to create music in professionally as a rock/punk band! Joel and Benji Toss and their long time high school buddies, drummer, Aaron, and bass player, Paul, (plus recent recruit Billy on guitar) also joined the band.
 

When the drummer Aaron abandoned the band, Good Charlotte had become offically drummerless.....untill by 2003, Chris Wilson joined the team!
 

Their First album was "Good Charlotte" an explosion of rock songs, and sentimentals! After the fame of the first album, they created a new album on October 7, 2002 called"The Young And The Hopeless" well-known for the song "Lifestyles Of The Rich And Famous" (ironically a song against rich superstars and showbusiness!).
On August 28, 2003, they preformed at the MTV Video Music Awards and won the prize of MTV's "Viewer's Choice" award.

In September 2003 they began their "The young and the hopeless World Tour" checkpoint in Winsconsin.

In November of 2003, they obtained their first two nominations at the European Mtv Music Awards.

In December of 2003 they created their dvd, "Video collection" where they spoke about issues, tours, and songs that that all related to the band and their lives in particullar.

In August of 2004, they obtained a nomination at VMA 2004 and a Viewer's Choice Award, for second time in two years.

On October 6, 2004 "The Chronicles Of Life And Death" was created, introducing the song "Predictable" and a take from the second dvd "Live at the Brixton Academy ", show in London at "Brixton Academy", with documentary!
In November 2004, they recieved a second nomination at the Europe Music Awards.

On February of 2005, they began their tour in Australia, Japan, and Europe. (March 3 was when they toured Italy.)

On May 2005 the band began to tour in the United States of America with another popular band 'Simple Plan'.
In recent development, the drummer Chris Wilson has abandoned the band for heath related problems.
